As Logos Hope left Libya, Desiree Ferris (South Africa) reflected on her time in the North African country. On the ship’s first night in Benghazi, Desiree was in the Kids’ Zone on the Visitor Experience Deck. She met five sisters, the eldest of whom was 16, who had come to the ship with their mother and their little brother. Desiree did puzzles and drawings with the girls and they took photos. She said, “I could see a very strong bond between them. The sisters really cared about each other. They said they had lost their father and were living with their stepfather.” On Logos Hope’s last night in Benghazi, the girls came back and presented Desiree with flowers. “They said they felt such peace on the ship and that people were so friendly,” Desiree added.
